a tutorial (of sorts)

yesterday i received an email which said "tutorials, how natural color really stays on fabric, please". i'm pretty sure i've covered that topic (the 'why' as well as the 'how') comprehensively in 'Eco Colour', 'Second Skin' and 'The Bundle Book'

but i was still thinking about it in the shower this morning and then fell into a puddle of verbage. so, from the bear who (almost) never writes rhyming poetry, here is a tutorial. in verse. in my somewhat dodgy handwriting.

  3. That's very nicely put! And I find your handwriting quite artistic :)
Maybe you ought to have a spam box for incoming requests for tutorials and for people nagging you for flying? But perhaps one can see it as a side effect, of being widely known for making a wake-up call on how we treat the Earth, in an artistic way. Usually, that 's quite provoking - like painting a blue horse was about a hundred years ago. I've got your books, and I adore them! Thank you :)

    1. Thank you for your support and especially for buying the books. And as for blue horses...Franz Marc is splendid company to be in.

  5. As in :

I find the use of toxic mordants
    Plastic wrap and such discordant
When leaf and twig and stone suffice
To yield results that are quite nice...

Oh dear. I think it's time for another glass of red
And then, methinks, it's time for bed!

  7. It really is quite simple
Allow the cloth to stew and wrinkle
Let Mother Nature do as she will
While bundle rests on window sill
