these images are for those of you who think
that eucalyptus
needs to be boiled for hours and hours
when you boil eucalyptus for more than an hour
what happens is
the kino in the leaf is released
making everything
brown
in this instance
brown and also well-boiled felt
is exactly what i wanted
cos
i'm not finished with this object
just yet
has the rolling stone gathered moss? this object wants to be touched.

whilst you were dyeing in the heat India I took a trundle to Murray Bridge and had a wonderful time wandering around the Regional Gallery and admiring your work. I especially loved the multiple boat forms but the star of the show for me was the continuous length of faabric dyed that amazing rusty red .. So beautiful - evocative and ethereal all at once. Thank you.
