Very clever idea! I've stitched a hem in the car on the way to a wedding but this is much more creative and exciting. I've just spent my days in the car reading your book!
Don't worry I watched movies and slept like a bear in between as well- but stitching on the lower reaches of the dress means I can do it at take off and landing and in the wait lounge as well and move on at short notice as long as I secure that needle...
ha..had to show your comment to my husband Tony..."Oh no..you mean there are more of you!!" Ha! On all those journeys home to Uk etc, when we lived overseas, l always wore something l could sew onto...no need to carry embroidery in my luggage! loved what you created on the plane. I started to sew because l cannot read in cars, planes or trains!!Long journeys are no fun if you just sit there and sleep is hard to find!xlynda
i have needles tucked into my journal, in my wallet, stuck into pieces of paper in my passport wallet etc. only one attendant has ever asked me to set it aside (and then only for takeoff and landing). most smile and talk about their grandma and offer another gin!
Thats interesting, when I asked I was told I couldn't take any type of needle on as hand luggage, I guess the thing to do is not ask. I did once wear a 4 inch long decorative pin which does my cardigan up and no one noticed, I just didn't think of it.
Ha .. I love this!! Had a great laugh just thinking about it. Now I will never be the same .. I've been drawing on my stained jeans was thinking of maybe stitching on them too... just hurts when I poke too hard haha .. very cute!! I do though love what you stitched!!

Deletei used to stitch on my quilts while laying under them right before bedtime. i woke up stitched to one of them once...
