more workshop pix

after working through the basics of colour extraction we played with bundles...this collection was extracted from the copper cauldron brought to the workshop by one of the group

we opened the bundles after letting them rest overnight and unfurled them to the breeze

and afterward we gazed into the bottom of the pot and found more magic...

  5. yes, as it happens I am planning some for South Australia...there'll be a single day workshop in March, i think, and i'm still sorting a longer one for a little later in the year.
there are external places available for 'Winterworks' but no live-in beds left...

  6. Oh How exciting! I must say that going through your work and reading about your workshops really is an inspiration. I wish I could participate but seeing that I am, well, not even close to Auz. I will have to play on my own.

  7. The dyed bundles are artworks in themselves...they look amazing. The great unfurling must be a magical moment...will keep my eye out for a workshop with you one day.

  8. the act of creating a bundle is a pleasure to begin with...rather like wrapping a lovely present.
the icing on the cake is that the moment of unwrapping is like giving a present to oneself of the nicest kind as the magic unfolds - no matter for whom the cloth is destined later!
